Of the 9 varieties grown in Casalvento, not all have the same intended use. The different organic botanical species are grown and distilled separately to have different products for sale. The flowers are dried for various uses in the food and cosmetics sectors. Casalvento stands out for having started intensive cultivation in 1962 and for having optimized specific distillation tools for each botanical, therefore also for lavender. The extracts are essential oils, Hyper Hydro hydrolates and first and second generation absolutes used in liquor, cosmetics, alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks
