VLC16 is a television channel featuring programs for a modern audience and covering essential oil production.
The Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, through the FAO (Food and Agricultural Organization of the United Nations), recommended our organization to VLC16, which was looking for an example of the evolution of peasant work to share with the people of Vietnam.
Five journalists and Professor Massimo Sarti (FAO consultant) arrived in Tuscany and coordinated the program, content, and location. They agree that the best topic to address is the production of essential oil within an agricultural enterprise. Casalvento can serve as a model for agriculture in Vietnam.
A young Alessandro Dòmini guided the journalists and explained the business, how and when it began, and what it produces in the Damask Rose, Super Blue Lavender, and Pale Iris sectors. Vietnam also has significant peasant production based on tradition and sacrifice, but this is not what the station intends to convey. It aims to demonstrate how technology can help farmers improve their production system while preserving tradition. A conscious update to achieve a more sustainable future.
In 2014, we set an example for a part of the world far removed from our hometown of Casalvento.
