From 1962 onwards, scientific rigor was applied to production, giving rise to Casalvento Laboratories.
Giovanni Domini, a professor at the University of Siena, published an experimental study using gas chromatographic analysis of essential oils, correlating distillation with the balsamic properties of Lavandula Angustifolia grown in Casalvento.
This milestone marked the beginning of our scientific evolution. Today, we have a space exclusively dedicated to the chemical analysis of botanical extracts with polarimeters (POL), spectrophotometers (UV-VIS), gas chromatographs (GC), and gas mass chromatography (GC-MS). These technological gems allow us to optimize the extraction process and modify the structure and operation of the facilities in the large Casalvento distillery.
Dedicated technologies make the difference: this is how we obtained Hyper Hydro, functional and safe active ingredients. Why is an essential oil produced in Casavento different from others? The answer is simple: its effectiveness! Casalvento Laboratories currently utilize cutting-edge technologies for in vivo clinical efficacy studies, making each company’s cosmetic products safer. Lorenzo Domini (an internist and PhD in Clinical Pharmacology) evaluates sebum analysis, surface and deep hydration, skin elasticity, pore count and wrinkle depth, hair regrowth tests, elasticity, and hair breakage prevention…
The effectiveness of cosmetic claims, based on dossiers specifically developed by our laboratories, is protected by the ValidQ trademark. The trademark is managed directly by Alessandro Domini (a pharmacist with experience in cosmetology), who oversees the growth of this branch of the company.
